About Me

I know that client’s dogs are a big part of their family life, so it is very important for their dogs to be in a trustworthy environment.

After a full 22 years career in The Royal Marines Band Service, I’m now able to enjoy my passion for animals especially dogs.

I have had many years of experience with animals. Horses and dogs have always been a big part of my family life. I feel this is a major strength for my business which has now been successfully running for 4 years.  During that time, I have gained further experience in managing many different breeds and characters of dogs.

All dogs love to socialise and play and need mental and physical stimulation throughout their lives.

How It Works

Firstly I will offer an initial free meet and greet with you and your dog.  Introducing myself to you and your dog to make sure you’re both happy. I will require all clients to fill out a Dog boarding/Dog day care form asking for your dog’s information and contact information, for yourself, if needed for any reason.

My location in which I reside is central to many villages and towns within the area.

The residence also includes 6 acres of land of which 1 acre is secured for the dogs’ play time.

This service and my facilities mentioned above is offers a very high standard giving all dogs a full schedule of activity at my residence.

I have been given a 4* licence by Northumberland County Council which has been extended for a further 3 years. This has been given to me because of my high standards in procedures which include:

My Services

Dog Boarding

I offer secure home from home dog boarding. All dogs are fully welcomed into the family home and are treated as one of our own.  I offer your dog a holiday that is in a stress free environment so that they can greet you fully relaxed when you return from holiday. During your holiday, If you wish, I can provide yourself with photos, videos and texts to give you complete peace of mind. 

Our own dog Pippa offers a friendly welcome into the house. 

All dogs must have a trial night staying with me, this is to ensure full happiness before their main holiday.

Prices are: 

I require all dogs to have a full up-to-date inoculation card, including the kennel cough inoculation.

Dog Day-care

I offer stimulating day-care for dogs during the hours of 8am to 6pm. Care outside of these hours is negotiable. Dogs can go as a group or individually to our secure freedom field(s) where they can play. All dogs are cleaned and towelled where necessary on their return to the house. Food and water are provided as advised by and agreed with you. Dogs are put in comfortable areas in the family home to rest and recuperate. More energetic dogs are given the opportunity to have another run and play during the day when desired.

What’s Included? 

My field(s) is the perfect, safe environment for private dog owners wanting to exercise their dog(s) off the lead, training, puppies or rescue dogs, reactive dogs, poor recall dogs where you are unsure how they will behave off the lead. The field is completely enclosed with 6ft deer fencing allowing peace of mind while your dog is having fun or being trained off the lead, having full sole use of the field. Within the field there is a shelter along with water and a poo bin. I also offer activity/play equipment for the more energetic dogs.

Prices are:

Maximum number of dogs is 4, if you require more I charge £2 per dog.You must allow 5 mins at the end of your slot to exit the field to ensure it is free for the next person and their dog.

Our beagle has been regularly attending Pawfect Dog as both doggy daycare and for overnight stays and holidays for a few years now. He is a typical cheeky beagle, and was a bit of a handful as a puppy. Some other daycares that we had trials with were unable to manage him. It was never a problem for Sara; she knew exactly how to handle him, and her enclosed field was the perfect way for him to burn off energy in a safe environment. He absolutely loves his time with Sara. He loves interacting with a range of dogs, getting to play with them all in a large garden and also the private field, walking with them, and also settling down for naps with them. He also loves Sara’s cat and horse! We always feel like he is part of Sara’s family as well as ours, and it is his home away from home.

Sara looks after our pup Stanley Odd Sox when we go on holiday, weddings, and odd nights for the last 4 years. I really wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog . He loves playing in her off-leash field with the other dogs . She always ensures he is having fun and supervised properly . Stan loves both of her dogs and will be sad when he realises Oscar is no longer with us . If he is sad, she gives him extra pats [��]I feel she is definitely in charge at all times and understands the psychology of dogs and their behaviour which is really important.
